Can you give us the exact models on the motherboards, and the exact cpu that you are using?

the first board is a gigabyte a320m-s2h. the second a msi b450 gaming pus . the third adrus b550 elite v2
the first cpu is a ryzen 7 5000 series the second was a ryzen 7 3700
Alright, so because AM4 has been around for so long those boards likely all need a BIOS update, none of them support Ryzen 5000 series out of the box. If you can get a ryzen 1000 series cpu, that should be compatible with the A320 and B450, and the Ryzen 3000 series should be compatible with b550 series board, no matter what bios revision they are on. But they would all need a bios update in order for that Ryzen 5000 series cpu to work on them. At least thay all officially support the cpu after a bios update though. With the B550 you should be able to either user the ryzen 3000 series cpu, or qflash to flash the latest bios. Also none of these cpu's have a built in graphics adapter, so you will need a cheap graphics card to see anything on all of these boards.

so you dont thinkive blown the boards or the cpus ? its been about 20 years since i built a pc
I dont think so, i would try this if you still have that B550 board. I would install the ryzen 7 3700, a cpu cooler, a single stick of ram in the second ram slot, and a cheap graphics card, that should be your minimum boot configuration. I would then remove the bios battery for 10 minutes to make sure that the bios configuration is cleared, then reinstall the battery, and try to boot the computer. It will take maybe 2 or 3 minutes to boot after that, can you give that a shot and see if you see anything?
