Motherboard and graphic card problem

Hello Friends,

I have a assembled pc with MSI Z97 gaming 5 motherboard and MSI AMD/ATI R9 270 gaming 2 gb DDR5 graphic Card and intel i7 4970K cpu.

My problem :-
1. When i start my pc the monitor show the no signal message (I connected my monitor via HDMI port from graphic.)
2. My DirectX Diagnostic tool show the display memory is only 2048gb with my graphic, but without graphic card my display memory is 1696mb, i can't understand whats the reasion.

what monitor you have? my monitor is adjustable to auto detect or manually switch between the connections.
have you tried using the cord that came with the card?

2. GPU has it's own 2GB and that shows, without GPU your processor/mobo uses that much of operational RAM as it shows.
