Hi all,
I have to replace my current motherboard and graphics card. I require this for 3d renderings and visualizations These are the specifications of my processor and also the budget:
Processor: AMD phenom II X6 2.8Ghz AM3 socket 8gigs or RAM (planning for 16gigs)
For the motherboard i can spend upto $120-$150
Will ati graphics card be better or i should opt for nvidia (having an amd processor)?
graphics card budget would be around $200-$250
I am planning to run lumion 3d. Which card will be suitable for that?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx

If its 3D rendering I'd very much recommend 16GB, I know alot of people are going to be like its not necessary, both in fact those people will be wrong because they have no clue how much RAM is utilized in 3D rendering. Anyways. If your looking to spend a little more i recommend the ASUS Sabertooth 990FX: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131877, i have this board and love it. Otherwise one like this will do you just fine: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131851

As for graphics I'd recommend anything ASUS lol if you can't tell im a ASUS fanboy: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121802
