Hello, thinking of building a computer but budjet is not high, want to get the motherboard ga-x79-ud3 with intel's ivybridge 3770k processor, 16gb hyperx ram 1600mhz etc but there are the essentials WOULD THAT BE GOOD? as i would like 2x pci-e slots x16

Solution
GA-X79-UD3 is socket LGA 2011
Intel Core i7-3770K is socket LGA 1155

If your budget is not high (your motherboard selection indicates otherwise), then select a socket 1155 motherboard based on the Z77 chipset, e.g., GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UP4 TH, GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H, ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE (as expensive as the X79 motherboard that you selected, but dual LAN, etc.)

are you tring to say the socket is not right on the motherboard for intel's 3770k chip?

Solution
Just read the specs it says Socket Type: LGA 2011
Graphics Interface: PCIe 3.0 (x16) Chipset: Intel X79 Express
SLI: Yes Form Factor: ATX
SLI Support: Quad Video Interface: PCI Express x16
Hybrid SLI: No MPN: GA-X79-UD3 rev. 1.0
Hybrid Crossfire: No Memory Type: SDRAM, DDR3 SDRAM
Crossfire: Yes CPU Socket: 2011

Ok thanks can you recomend a motherboard which will and has 2xPci-e x16 slots plz?

Most motherboards have two or more PCI-e x16 slots, but they'll operate at x8/x8 (not an issue with PCI-e 3.0 which is twice as fast as 2.0). Select the motherboard that best meets your requirements and budget.
