[SOLVED] motherboard and mic volume

Hello. I have had this pc for almost 2 years now. And ever since i got it i have had issue with my mic being super quiet.
I have gone through multiple headsets and mics and its all the same :/

I have re-installed audio drivers. Installed firmware drivers for the headsets that had any. Made sure the motherboard audio driver is updated (directly from the manufacturer website)
reinstalled windows. tried all ports. Front and back..

And i'm starting to think that its an issue with my computer. Mainly my motherboard, since that is where it plugs in and all. (You can probably tell i'm no computer expert)
My old pc had no issue like this. I could plug in any headset and have good quality mic sound without really doing anything.

My friends that i talk to on discord sounds loud and clear. And one of them use the same hyperX cloud 2 headset like i do.
Its so bad i almost have my mic in my mouth :s and even then its quiet.. They have to boost me by 200% just to hear me at a decent level.

My motherboard is MSI MAG Z390 Tomahawk MS-7B18
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz
GPU: RTX 2080 super
Ram: 32,0 GB
Windows 10 (updated)
both my windows and discord mic is set to 100%

I am not looking for any software that can boost or anything like that. What i'm looking for is an answer to why every mic is so incredibly low on this pc.
I'm out of ideas and close to giving up.. If you have any ideas/questions/fixes then i would appreciate it very much!

Power down. Use a bright flashlight to inspect all audio ports for signs of debris and/or damage.

Check inside and out.

Are you using the adapters or splitters? Check them as well.

Digging into all a bit deeper.....

In any way, with the problem being long term and persistant, a nagging thought is that there is some mismatch between audio related plug and ports.

Thank you for the reply. Yes i'm using the HyperX cloud 2 wired headset.
I'm using the dongle (i think you call it) that it came with.
Its just strange how audio is fine. But my mic volume is suffering. No matter if its usb headset or not. And using a different headset does not fix it either

I can try take a look at the ports.
