Hello !
I want to buy new monitor.I choose ASUS VG248QE Black 24" 144Hz .I also will buy new motherboard.I choose Gigabyte H97 D3H.In its specification it is said that this motherboard support resolution of 1920x1200@60Hz with D-Sub port and DVI-D port and 4096x2160@24Hz or 2560x1600@60Hz with HDMI port.My question can i use this motherboard that support 60hz with monitor 144hz.Or this 60hz are only if I use the integrated graphic card and not my GTX 970?

Solution
You can run a 144Hz monitor at 60Hz, the monitor will just replicate the same frame ~ twice per frame of the given output. If you want 144Hz, using Integrated graphics wont take advantage of the display as it will barely achieve a high enough fps to even notice. DVI Dual link or Display Port is what you'd require to run the monitor at a true 144Hz.
