Motherboard and NVMe M.2 SSD

I have a Asus P9X79 Pro Mainboard and i want to boot with a Samsung NVMe M.2 960 Pro on a Asus Hyper M.2 X4 Mini Expansion Card is that possible? Can somebody help me please.

Seeing as that has no native m.2 ports, it is highly unlikely that it will boot from that drive in a adapter slot.

And even if it did, it would give no real benefit vs a regular SATA III SSD. Which WILL boot up, no problem.

Agree mate, as the owner of both a M.2 Nvme and SATA III SSD's (tried both as Boot drives) i've stuck with the SATA III SSD as there is no noticeable difference.
