Motherboard and possible memory failure

I cannot get my computer to start and would like to be able to use my new ram instrad of my old kind

Pull the DRAM, reset CMOS and then install the new DRAM only and try - if no joy let us know mobo, CPU (OC if any) and model #(s) of the DRAM
