First, the motherboard:

And the psu:

The problem: The psu has an 8 pin connector separated in a 6-pin and a 2-pin. The 6 pin fits just fine in the motherboard but the 2-pin seems to be reversed. The "square" connector on the psu connects to the "square and semi-circle" of the motherboard and vice-versa.

Please see images below:

Do I have to reverse those(there are plastic parts that suggest doing so is a bad idea)? Do I only connect the 6 pin?

Additional info:
The motherboard manual says the 8-pin connector is the 12v for the processor but on the psu cable, it says "Pci Express Graphics, 8p connector".
If I dont connect the 8pin, the computer powers on for one second then turns of.
If I connect the 6 pin, the computer does nothing.

Thanks!

Solution
1 x 20+4Pin Main Connector
1 x 4+4Pin ATX12V/EPS12V Connector
1 x 6Pin PCI-E Connector
1 x 6+2Pin PCI-E Connector
6 x 4Pin Peripheral Connector
6 x 5Pin SATA Connector
1 x 4Pin Floppy Connector

Oh crap, thanks! Do you have a solution for this? I swear, there is no 8-pin connector for the cpu, the only thing that comes close is two 4 pin connectors. Would those work or do I have to change my psu?
