I will be waiting for the new ryzen to be released before i start my build, however, I need to purchase the mobo and ram now as I am travelling in the next few weeks. Anyone can give me a good combination? It needs wifi thats it, not too expensive but needs to last a few years i am looking for gaming performance and probably 32gb ram , i also have a gtx 980ti. Thanks

Any idea when the X570 boards will release? Also, whats your opinion on keeping a 980ti for a while, I just need to make sure I can crush games for the next few years, Im looking into upgrading gpu as well but id rather not if i dont have to. Thanks
I know this is an old thread but I have an FX-8350 and a GTX 970, and am upgrading to a 3900x in a few weeks. I think any X570 motherboard with decent VRMs will be better than X470 due to future-proofing and guaranteed compatibility! Good luck with the build!!

For the 3rd Gen you'll need to find a B450 or X470 motherboard with updated BIOS, you may just want to wait for the X570 boards to release. As for the memory Ryzen does perform better with faster memory and 3200mhz works great now with the B450/X470 boards however with memory pricing decreasing you might want to get something faster then 3200 especially if the X570 boards support faster speeds (some B450/X470 boards support up to 3600mhz).

Honestly I'd wait and just grab all 3 at the same time.

Probably around the same time as the CPU release so early to mid July maybe?

As for the GPU it's still a good choice for 1080P, 2560x1080P and 1440P gaming. You could probably go up to 3440x1440P if you don't mind lowering some settings.
