Hi Guys,

i'm currently sitting on this rig:

Processor: I5 6600K
Motherboard: ASUS Z170 PRO
RAM: Corsair vengeance set to 3000mhz
GPU: Gtx 1070 asus rog strix oc version (Keeping until next gen gpus)
PSU: EVGA Supernova 750 W Gold
Cpu Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Case: NZXT S340 Elite

Now i'm looking to upgrade to something along the lines of the following:

Processor: Ryzen 7 3700x
Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus X570 AORUS ELITE
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z Royal 16GB DDR4 3600MHz Memory Module (16GB, 2x8GB, DDR4, 3600MHz)
GPU: Gtx 1070 asus rog strix oc version (Keeping until next gen gpus)
PSU: EVGA Supernova 750 W Gold
Cpu Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black, 120mm single-tower CPU cooler
Case: PHANTEKS Eclipse P400A Midi-Tower, Tempered Glass, Drgb – White (Need better airflow, do not care for rgb)

Now i know ryzens ram sweet spot is 3600mhz but i'm worried about my choices in the mobo and ram department. Are these compatible and good components or are there better/equivalent components out there that are cheaper that can do the same job. I've been getting particularly stressed with the ram situation after reading a lot of reviews on amazon.

Anything you can suggest i would very much appreciate. Even if you do think i could pick better parts in other areas please do not hesitate to throw them my way. Very slight wiggle room in terms of budget if it costs more that parts listed if it is worth the extra money.

Thanks.

Solution
Since having 3000mhz ram in your current build could you just try and see. Don't know why you aren't happy with it.

Cheaper motherboard would probably be this,
"MSI B450 Tomahawk Max ",
but doesn't have certain features the X570 chipset does have.Whether these are worth it is something you should decide.

Purely because of the ryzen sweetspot of 3200-3600 and the fact that they are 3 years old.

Going with the x570 so that if needed i could throw a new ryzen in when they come out.
