motherboard and Ram speed

hello,
my question is ... am using ECS G41T-M9 (V1.0, 2 DIMM) motherboard that has support for DDR3 1066/800
can i use RAM DDR3 1333 with this mother ...

according to your motherboard specs
"Support DDR3 800/1066 SDRAM"
says nothing about xmp support

Hi,
If your motherboard does not support speeds above 1066Mhz you can still use 1333Mhz DDR3 ram but it will downclock to the supported speed. and it will work.

quertyDs is correct your motherboard will downclock to 1066 so if you are looking at buying the ram get 1066mz else you can use the 1366mhz ram you have but it will run at 1066mhz

Yes, it should downclock and will prob have to set to 1066 and proper timings (side note: As far as XMP, it's only applicable to sticks at 1600 and up )
