Hey guys,
I'm kind of new to the whole system building process and to these forums [all though I have read numerous amounts of them through Google searches]
I recently build my first system:
Intel Core i5 2500 @ 3.3GHZ
4GB DDR3 @ 1600 Mhz RAM
XFX Radeon HD 4850 @ 625 Clock
Logysis 575W PSU (really 450W) - I've heard the horror stories of Logysis so I'm waiting for the Cooler Master GX 650W to arrive in my mail this week.
Intel DH67BL Motherboard (getting a P67 replacement at the end of this month) and that's where my question kicks in.
I've been reading up on the Gigabyte P67-UD3 or UD4 and the Asus P8P67 or P8P67-M Pro
In the past week alone I've changed my mind from Asus to Gigabyte probably over 20 times and decided, why not ask people who ACTUALLY know what they are talking about?
The question would be, for someone who mainly intends to game and do some mild video editing which off these two companies is going to satisfy my needs best? I plan on getting a XFX Radeon HD 6870 in a month or two btw.
The thing that confuses me is that the Asus Pro board is cheaper than it's non Pro counterpart, don't really understand. And also I've read that Asus boards are not really for beginners?? But they have UEFI which seems a LOT easier to use than BIOS. On top of that Asus seems to have more packed in features while the Gigabyte has faster overall USB transfer rates. For the rest the two companies are almost identical, performance wise it seems.
Any help would be greatly appreciated since I have to make my decision in about 10 days. Thank you in advance for your help,
Jeremy
