Hello,

I currently have an issue where my motherboard audio drivers just don't show up in device manager. This means I cannot receive audio through my motherboard. I can still get audio through my graphics card, although I can't use headphones that way. I have tried installing MSI's realtek drivers package from their website several times but the drivers still refuse to appear. I have even tried reinstalling windows and that didn't fix it either.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

MSI z170a gaming pro carbon
Intel i6700k
GTX 970
Windows 10 Anniversary Update

This tidbit may help,

When running msinfo32, under problem devices, an item called High Definition Audio Controller cannot start.

Also I should note that MSI Live Update confirmed I have realtek audio drivers installed, but they do not show up in device manager.
