[SOLVED] motherboard audio

when i connect my headphone to my motherboard the USB I/O ports. There is audio coming out but when i adjust the volume level from 100 to 0. The sound level stays the same until it hits 0 which will switch off. it doesnt go softer like from 100 to 0. anyone know how to fix this?

motherboard: asrock b450m pro4
cpu: ryzen 5 3600
ram: teamgroup TUF 16gb 3200mhz
GPU: zotac rtx 2060 OC
ssd: lexar nm610 500gb
hdd: seagate 1tb

So you can't get a transition from high to low...?

Headphone's make and model? If the headset is USB driven then you might need to;
a| Make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard
b| Make sure your chipset drivers are up to date, might want to reinstall them.
c| uninstall the USB driven audio card in Device Manager and reboot the system.

For added measure, include the make and model of the PSU.
