[SOLVED] motherboard b85m & gpu backplate

Hello everyone,

I have a motherboard msi b85m e45 and i would like to upgrade my gpu to a gtx 1660 ti msi gaming x, ventus or armor (these are the GPUs available). But the problem is that the PCI-E slot is very close to ram slots (picture attached), so if i insert a gpu with a big backplate it won't fit (i have tested in the past a gtx 980 inno3D ichill which has a very thick backplate and it didn't fit).
So i would like to know if any of the msi gtx 1660 ti gaming, ventus or armor would fit in the motherboard (maybe they have a thin backplate).

For more information msi b85m e45 has the same design (pci-E / ram slot) as msi b85m gaming, so if any on there gpu fit in b85m-gaming it would fit in b85m-e45.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards.

hi @rdg1101, thanks a lot for the proposition, yes i was thinking about getting a gpu without a backplate, bu the ones available where i am are all with backplate. So i wanted to know if anyone have this combo (mobo msi b85m + one of the of gpu I mentioned ) to see if it can fit.
Thanks again.
