Hey, pc noob here. So recently I made built a pc but got a little worried about my motherboard bending a little . It forms a really small curve at the place where the cpu cooler goes. (the backplate makes a little curve). Is this normal? My cooler is a pretty big block btw.

Solution
That's a big cooler!

But the backplate looks pretty normal AM4 backplate to me. They are really robust and I can't imagine the cooler mount screws bending it without bending the cooler's own brackets far worse.

Still, did you check that your backplate is the correct one...as in Arctic's instructions for AM4?

So my specs are:
motherboard: b550 tomahawk max
cpu: Ryzen 5 5600x
cpu cooler: arctic freezer 34 esports duo
gpu (temporary): gt 1030
case: corsair 4000d
psu: corsair rm750x
memory: corsair vengeance rgb pro 16gb 3200mhz
Storage: 500gb samsung m.2 ssd

Here are some pictures of the little curve (it's hard to make a clear picture because the motherboard is already in the case and I'm not going to take it out):

At the last picture it looks like the cooler and the gpu are touching each other but they are not.

Hey,

I'm 100% sure that the backplate is the correct one since I contacted arctic for a new backplate. My old backplate had this problem as well, but a lot worse...

Thanks for your help!
