i got this beeping sound quite frequently. the problem starts after i done playing games, then the pc freeze not long after that during web browsing. then i restart it. after that unplugging and insert RAM back solve this. and the pc run as usual. what do you think the cause if it? i dont even sure when this problem started. im not an expert so feel free to detail the solution.

got an fx 6100, GA-970A-DS3 mobo, asus gtx550ti, and newly replaced 8gb ram. this rig is nearly 2-year old.

thanx in advance.

If that board has an Award BIOS, 1 long beep followed by 2 short beeps is a memory error. You might have a bad stick of memory. Or it might be some other memory related problem. What are the sticks of memory you are using; make/model?

You can test your memory by downloading Memtest. Use the .ISO file to burn a bootable CD. Then boot to that CD with just one stick of memory in the first slot. Let the test run for 1 FULL pass. If any errors show up, you have a bad stick of memory. Repeat for the other sticks. http://www.memtest.org/
