[SOLVED] Motherboard BIOS update

I am trying to update my bios on my gigabyte b550 gaming x. When I try to do it I get the message of " can't read the file" or the like.

how you are updating.....through USb or program

Normally, the file must be on a usb stick formatted as fat32

Download @bios in pc from gigabyte webiste and BIOS file and extract BIOS file and flash through @bios

Is there any reason you need to update the bios? To be truthful, it's one of the scariest,(for many people,myself included.) things to do and you can kill your motherboard if done incorrectly. Unless you are having issues with the current bios,i'd leave it well alone,at least until you know,exactly what it involves.
