FX-6300 @ 4,6 Ghz
Saphhire R9 270
8 GB Kingmax 1333 Mhz
Seagate Barracude 1 TB 7200 rpm
SAGA II 550W power supply

aaand the ASUS M5A97 R2.0

im not getting the expected performance so far.. i mean i saw a guy on yt with the same cpu @ gpu in crysis 3 in very high getting 40-70 fps im barely getting 40 in high and its also not smooth. CS:GO has relatievly low fps with huge drops and laggy gameplay. however bf3 ran relatievly well.

-all drivers up to date
-freshest bios
-temps are good (cpu about 55° gpu 57-58° while gaming)
-hard drive and psu are working fine

all i can think about now that the old 970 chipset somehow holds me back from getting the performance i should be. what are your thoughts?

mr entomber i have the same speed ram from kingston and they play crysis on high without issue besides 1333 and 1600mhz have simmilar performance and the difference is not really noticeable ,, the psu is the best bet in the problem here as it is weak

well you can tell by the card underperforming with all other hardware just fine ,,the game is gpu reliant and not ram so the main source of the lag would be the gpu and if the gpu is supposed to be able to handle the game then its either power or its bad ,, in this
case the psu is bad so we see the problem straight off the bat

as i said multiple times get the psu i recommended earlier ..problem solved

yes you could definetly be right.
i just wait a bit if someone has an other idea or some experience with this board

you cant know until you know but its the only likely thing here seeing as though everything else is performing just normal
.. im telling you the card is stronger than its performing now so its either bad or not getting enough power ,, we acknowledge the power issue so i leaned toward the power issue

as is said before all signs point to the psu thats is old and low quality ... didnt say its not a motherboard issue even though i doubt it is ,, seeing as though everything function on it and the parts are just moving slow .. definitely a power issue

thanks, aprriciate it
