I have an MSI Gaming 7 Z97A gaming motherboard. It has worked fine and I have made no changes to it in the last few months and then suddenly it all quit working and both BIOS give me black screen and will not work. The board LEDs light up and the fans run but that is it. Is there any way to recover the BIOS? The screen is black and I have no way to enter the BIOS

may not be aq bricked bios buit a power issue or gpu issue. if you have a hdmi cable pull the gpu and see if onboard video comes on. if not see if another gpu will post. also use the cmos jumper to clear the cmos with power unplug from the wall so the cmos will reset. cmos failure or bricking only happen if you try and write to the cmos and use windows updating tool. if you did this put the newest bios file on a usb stick put the stick in a usb 2.0 port and turn the mb on. let it sit for 20 min see if the mb tries and recover.
