Should I buy a new motherboard (MSI H97 Gaming 3) for the following specs:
I5 4460
Gtx 1060 6gb
2x4 gb ram planning to upgrade to 16gb (current mobo doesn't have 4 ram slots)
500watt psu 80 plus bronze
3 case fans
1 1tb hdd

I want to buy this board because I want to upgrade from my current one for gaming, but considering 6th gen intel CPU's are out and the 7th gen come soon is it still good to buy an lga1150 mobo? I'm not planning to oc that's why the h97 board instead of a z97.

Solution
If I were you, will just buy the 2x8GB RAM, instead of buy the new MB+ other 8GB RAM, if your current MB can support the 2x8GB RAM. 1) like you said, even the 7th gen cpu will be out. 2) the 16GB RAM should be cheaper than the lga1150 MB + 8GB RAM. Also you may find less problem by using the 2X 8GB RAM. And you can save the $$ forward to the new PC if you want, you may sale the 2X4GB RAM too.
