I have an Asus A7N8X Deluxe motherobard, rev 1.04. When these boards (rev 1.x) where initially released, they had no support for FSB400 but later on, Asus released a BIOS update that i supposed to support FSB400 on these boards as well. I have heard though stories about people still not being able to reach that kind of FSB with their boards.

I currently have an AXP 1800+ @ 1.9GHz and am thinking of buying an AXP-M 2500+, but I want first to be sure that I will be able to overclock this CPU by pushing the FSB to 200MHz. So, I did a little test with my current CPU which is supposed to support only 133MHz FSB and it booted at 9.5x200. It works fine in simple tasks like surfing but it of course makes an error when trying to run Prime95 for example.

Is this an indication that my motherboard does indeed support 200MHz FSB or is it still not really sure?

Thanks.

That's not a problem. It's Corsair XMS DDR400.

Basically, what I am wondering is since the mobo booted using 200MHz FSB, whether that means that it indeed supports that FSB speed. I am not worried about the error in Prime95 because I did not expect from a 133MHz FSB CPU to run without problems using a 200MHz FSB anyways!
