Question motherboard clicks?

Hi,
I've got a rather old 775 motherboard, and it clicks and flashes FF, when I turn the power supply on. It does this 6 times and then nothing. I have searched and not found much.

Any one know about this?

Make and model of your motherboard? Inspect your motherboard for any blown or bulging capacitors.

On second thoughts, when posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:

Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model.

What does "flashes FF" mean?

You see "FF" and nothing else on your monitor?

Or what?

just googled 775 motherboard and ff fault, don't know what your hardware is but maybe there's something here that'll help?

I second checking for bulging capacitors
