I have a asus m2n-e sli motherboard with a geforce 9600 gt video card running win 7 that runs just fine. I have all the parts to put together another one but with a different video card. A Zotac gt730.My question is , can I clone my running computer and use that cloned hard drive on the computer I am building even if it has a different video card?

Solution
You can try; it may boot.
But, your windows license is good for only one copy; you will have activation issues.
The difference in graphics cards may require a driver update.

And, it is time to get out of the hard drive business and use a ssd.

Is the second PC absolutely identical, except for the GPU?

If not, this is unlikely to work.

And even if it does, then comes the licensing issues.
