My motherboard is the second from the top list from this site http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1247

I haven't invested enough time to learn about hardware stuff so i don't know what i have to look for when i check for graphics card compatibility. Could you help me out please? Also i know i must have the oldest hardware in here so don't mention anything :p

Finally if you could give some suggestions I would be grateful. Thanks!

Why on the face of this planet would you want such old hardware.... that stuff should be in a museum...

Anyways, I would suggest looking for AGP graphics cards as that is the slot on the museum piece.

Good luck finding AGP cards, as they are not sold very much more...

ATi still makes a range of AGP cards, but I don't think they will be making new models, just keep selling what they have.

I would suggest the same as obsidian. A 3850 or a 4670 AGP model. Make sure it is AGP and not PCI.

@xbeater: Quiet a few people still have AGP and don't have the need or want to upgrade. ATi still sells a large number of AGP cards from multiple vendors. How ong they will do it who knows but as long as they are selling as well as they do I oubt they will stop.

Up for 4670 if you could get it cheaper than a 3850 (or whichever is cheaper). Since you aren't picky any of those cards should play HD movies fine, and games could be played on medium settings.

* I wouldn't recommend excessive spending on an old agp card.
