Hey there,

My knowledge on PC's is ok. But, I just want to check so I don't muck up my PC.
What I'm planing to do is to upgrade my pc, so first things first, I want to upgrade my graphics card. The graphics card I've got at the moment is a Gigabyte GTX 660. And, I was planning to upgrade that to the MSI GTX 970. The only thing is will my computer be able to handle it? I'm changing my RAM to 16Gb 1600mhz and my current CPU is I5 4440. My motherboard is Gigabyte motherboard "ga-b85m-hd3", Will it work? Because the Graphics card and motherboard are both PCI-E so, it should work, shouldn't it? Or will it bottleneck?

Thank you for your time and support :)

It depends what you're going to be doing, 16gb of RAM isn't needed for the majority of gaming, but I do know of some 64-bit games that can use over 8gb of my DRAM when I'm running my local server and playing the game for instance.

Thats the thing, I tend to host local servers and play games at the same time.

Well if you can afford it and think you might need it, then I'd go for it :)

That makes sense than. Do whatever appeals to you. :)
