As I am going to have to RMA my motherboard so will the Gigabyte A320M-S2H support my Ryzen 7 2700x because I have heard that these boards have lower end VRMS and may not be able to support higher end CPUs?

While the processor is officially supported, it is a 105watt chip. If you are concerned about the VRMs overheating then I'd suggest not attempting to overclock and to think about the environment the PC will be located. Is it someplace that has a relatively low, ambient temperature (does the room stay cool in the summer)?

Yes im in the UK (so it is normally cool during the summer) and this is a temporary motherboard just until I get my main board back
