Question Motherboard compatibility

does Asus p8h61-mx motherboard support i5 3470 and 1600mhz ram? when I look on the Asus web it doesn't say i5 3470

The processor in question is not shown on their supported CPU's list;

to add, the maximum ram supported is DDR3-1333MHz;

you could get lucky and drop in DDR3-1600MHz rams but they will effectively run at DDR3-1333MHz due to the chipsets limitations.

So the i5 3470 processor won't run on p8h61-mx? Do you have a solution to make it work? Even though I already bought the item

Ask first, then go buy.

As for the support for that processor, latter revisions of the board have the i5 show up on their supported CPU's list. Sadly there's nothing I/we can do...we don't dictate what is compatible or not on a motherboard.

the seller didn't tell me in detail about the motherboard and said it was a motherboard with socket 1155 and chipset h61 because I wanted to upgrade my motherboard so i bought it

Thanks for the answer, maybe I'll sell my processor and RAM to buy something that supports it.
