[SOLVED] Motherboard Confusion and Compatibility Check - Please help to Finalize

Hello all,

I am going to build a new gaming PC and after some research, I have finally selected the components below but with your expert suggestions I want to make sure everything is compatible with each other out of the box and also I am not sure yet which Motherboard I should go with, Earlier I have confirmed ASUS ROG STRIX B550 - E Gaming but now I can't find it in stock anywhere so I search more and find out MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk WiFi is also in the same cost and I believe with same features too but I am not really a big fan of MSI products because they never work for me out of the box in past 😕Also please check my list of components below and let me know If I forgot something to add to it or did I choose any wrong or overkill component? Don't worry, Tomahawk is one of best Ryzen MBs. Besides, it's x570 so it has even better VRM,

Thanks for your response, and What about my compatibility of other component's with each other like can I land up with any compatibility issues? With case or Ram or SSD with that this Tomahawk?

If this is a gaming PC a Ryzen 5600X would be better than the 3900X unless you're doing editing stuff etc.

Maybe waiting a bit for the Ryzen 5000 series stock to be ok would be a good idea. If you have the budget you could get the 5900X.

Ryzen 3900X - INR 42K = USD 566 ( Available )
Ryzen 5600X - INR 29K = USD 391 ( Not in stock but can Preorder )
Ryzen 5800X - INR 50K = USD 675 ( Available )
Ryzen 5900X - INR 61K = USD 823 ( Not in stock but can Preorder )

This is how is the situation above in India for Ryzen CPU's and I was actually confuse in between that 3900X and 5800X but then I think it's better to have 12 cores than 8 cores to be more future proof so I decided to go with 3900X because I am kind of a multitasking person who uses multiple applications at same time and simultaneously games also running so I think more core is better for me.

What are you gonna run simultaneously? Name the games and software. You're not gonna run 5 triple A titles at the same time or run 5 instances of Bluestacks virtualization?

If I had the choice between the Ryzen 5800X and the 3900X I would get the 5800X. If you don't do editing rendering, Virtualization that 12 cores is wasted.

That single core performance increase on the Ryzen 5000 series is very tempting.

As for future proofing. You won't see 8+ cores in the system requirement of a game before a long time

That's a pretty straight forward and confident answer, I like it so I am going now with 5800X. Now while looking for some better front panel cases which have HDMI ports too along with Type C port so I can connect my VR headset easily then I just found one called Aorus AC300W R2 PC Cabinet but I am not sure whether it can work out of the box with my components or not. Can you please have a look to it and put me into the right direct direction just like you just did in CPU section. Thanks

That system is around 1300USD without the RTX 3080. How much did you pay that 3080?????? 1600USD???? That is crazy. That card is MSRP 699 dollars. Not 1600USD.

It's better to NOT buy a RTX series these days and wait for restock. You could have bought a 200 dollars GPU while you wait for restock.

Do not buy a 1600 USD RTX 3080. Buy a GTX 1660 Super and wait.

I can't do much. This is India and not just GPU's but all the electronic components are 4X costly here. But I know that I paid USD 200 more on this 3080 GPU because the actual cost is USD 1000 but due to the high demand and shortage in stock these sellers are taking advantage but that's okay for me as I am used to it.
