What happens if motherboard CPU socket pin get bent?

Please tell me any body...

If on of the pins in the motherboard socket gets bent then the motherboard is no good because you can't straighten those things out , no matter how hard you try.
Maybe if you had miniature tools and special magnifying eyeglasses you could but other then that it's highly unlikely that you can straighten it out and the cpu will not work with the one bent pin.
