[SOLVED] Motherboard & CPU compatibility

Just wanted to ask if the Intel Core i3-9100 3.6GHz CPU is compatible with the H110M PRO-D (MS-7996)motherboard and if the answer is yes it would be a better choice than the Intel Core i5 - 7500 3.40GHz CPU assuming that the i5 is compatible?

H110 boards support 6th and 7th "gen" CPUs, so no, the 9100 is not compatible.

The i5-7500 is compatible. Do you already own the motherboard?

Thank you for your answer, and yes i own the motherboard, it was given to me for free allowing me to spent a bit more money on the GPU and as a result i bought a GTX 1060 6GB ram AMP edition, now only the CPU left to buy. The main purpose of the build is some 1080p gaming on mid-high settings and i think i would be okay with the i5

For now, you'd probably be "ok", yes.
However, newer games are routinely taking advantage for >4 cores, so if you do have to invest in a 6th or 7th Gen CPU, I'd highly recommend you pick up an i7 (6700, 7700)
