Question Motherboard CPU power connector

Hello ! I would like to know if it is possible to power on a motherboard which has 2 x 8 pin CPU power connector using only one 8 pin CPU power connector instead of 2 x 8 pin CPU power connector ?
I wanted to buy a LGA1700 motherboard but I have 2 PSU's: one Seasonic Core GM 650W and one Super Flower Leadex 2 Gold 650W and both of them have only one 2 pin CPU power connector...
I am thinking about a B660 motherboard, and I am waiting to appear in stock more new models.
The CPU is a 12400F.

For that CPU one 8-pin is enough. Obviously connecting two is preferred but you'll do with one.
