I wanted to ask,if I want to upgrade my motherboard and cpu do I need to reinstalling Windows 7..
But,I don't upgrade my HDD tho,so..I think of 2 possiblities here

1.If I upgrade the motherboard and the CPU and RAM,same HDD..do I need to reinstalling Windows?

2.If I upgrade the motherboard and the CPU and RAM,same HDD..Will the Windows operate like normal?

Solution
You don't have to reinstall but it can be a pain sometimes with the drivers and registry issues. Make a backup of all your data, then hook up the hardware and boot, Windows will look at everything and load default drivers. You will need to run a registry cleaner to get rid of the old hardware references, download and install the latest BIOS and drivers from your new mobo's website and will prob have to reactivate Windows. I normally just do a fresh install and save the potential headache.

It will on you luck. It may work, it may not work. as delaro said backup all data in another hard drive. Best way, if you have your current pc with old mobo,CPU and RAM then uninstall all the drivers in that hard drives. Or just take backup of your Personal Data that goes into the "C" Drive or in the partition which you installed the OS. Just take the backup of the My documents, My pictures, My videos, My downloads and all the thing in My documents. They are important as they all contains games data and all softwares data. Get new Mobo+CPU+RAM. Install the Hard drive. If it works then Best, If i not works then reinstall the OS in the partition that you has the OS before and copy all My documents DATA in the new OS. You will got all your DATA back.
