Motherboard / CPU Recommendations

Good afternoon. I'm looking for recommendations for a good VR set up. My current AM3 mobo with the FX 8350 just isn't cutting it anymore. I attached a link to a part picker list of what I'm looking at right now. I want to go with a Ryzen CPU because of the ratings and what people are saying about them, but whenever I add any mobo to my part picker lists it says the BIOS might not be compatible not matter what mobo I select and I'm not that experienced inside the BIOS. Am I missing something? Or should I just not go with Ryzen? I don't want to spend a lot of money on something that isn't going to work properly. Thank you for the help!

Reason is that amd decides to offer support of this socket to support future cpu up to 2020. However it requires the motherboard to have the latest bios. If you want to have a peace of mind, choose the x470 mother or visit a local store and get a b350/X370 board with ryzen 2xxx ready sticker.

Generally, I like the multi core aspect of ryzen, multi task is great on ryzen. Something you can hVe without paying a lot for an expensive i7.

Thank you for the reply. I live in the middle of no where. Visiting a PC store isn't easy. I was looking at the x370, when I saw the "may be incompatible" error pop up I got kind of worried.

Thank you for the help. I received everything yesterday and just got it up and running. Started up the Oculus and the PC didn't even flinch. It's running like a champ and no temps over 40c. Thank you!

Enjoy your PC. :)
