Hi,
I recently bought an asus P8Z77-V LK motherboard from newegg and after setting up my system along with the rest of the components listed at the bottom, the computer would not post and no video was being displayed on the monitor. After looking inside the computer I noticed the dram led light was lit indicating some sort of ram or cpu problem. So after spending a few hours trying 3 differerent types of ram in each dimm socket I removed the cpu to make sure it was seated correctly.
When I removed the cpu I noticed at quick glance something was wrong with motherboard cpu socket. After closer inspection I think it appears that some of the cpu socket pins(?) are bent.

What I am wondering is, would this be enough to possibly cause the system to fail and not make it to post? Could this possibly have damaged the cpu as well?
At the moment I am planning to RMA the motherboard because I don't know what else to do. I'm not sure how the pins managed to get bent, as I seated the cpu in correctly the first time and I was extra gentle and careful.
I guess what I'm looking for is a second opinion, does it look bent or damaged to someone more experienced than me, should I RMA the cpu as well just to be safe?
Any comments or opinions would be greatly appreciated!
