[SOLVED] Motherboard / CPU upgrade

Hello Friends,

I'd like to ask for your kind help what to chose for upgrade (I'm heavy into gaming, mostly action or strategy oriented games, not FPS)

currently I have an I5-6600K cpu (Asrock Z140 PRO mb) with an 1071 Ti card.

I'm now thinking about upgrading my motherboard to either:

• Gigabyte Z390 Auros Elite + Intel I9-9900K (It seems to be a better upgrade according to userbenchmark)
• Asus Rog Strix B-550 A +Ryzen 7 3800x

My budget is also limited to this frame. I'm not looking for simple cpu upgrade, because I'm planning to give my whole current setup to my father.

I was looking at user benchmark to see how much upgrade I can expect, but it does not seems to be very convincing (10-20% increase concerning gaming) , so now I'm doubting myself if its worth to cash out for this replacement or I should wait for some new generations. I'm always trying to upgrade so that I'm good to go for 3-4 years.
Can you please advise?

Don't base your upgrade considerations on userbenchmark. That site is not meant for this.
Upgrade to Intel 9th gen is exceptionally poor value. Should be skipped entirely.

Upgrade either to Ryzen or Intel 10th gen.

I think ryzen 7 3700x i very good value and you will be for at least 4 years with no problems for gaming from your cpu.
