Question MOTHERBOARD DH55TC AND I7 860

Well i bought an old pc with i7 860 16gb ram ddr3 1333 and an asus maximus formula III after 3 moths my mother board got broken i started the computer and keept restarting.
About 1 week ago i bought a intel mother board DH55TC and it came with an pentium g6950 i went to a guy to veriffy that the mother board works and he telled me that i can't but the i7 on this mother board I don't know what to do i should change it myself the cpu will get fried the mother board won't work. Please help



I'm a starter into the gaming pc my first "gaming" pc
And sorry for the bad english , is not my first language
And the asus maxiumus iii formula can i repair it?
