Motherboard dimensions for custom case

I want to build a custom case as a side project. I am still in the early stages but I have a pretty good idea of what I'm going to do. However, at the moment my main issue is the positioning of the standoffs and the distance of the motherboard from the back of the case. I plan on it being compatible with at least an ATX board. If anyone can post a schematic for such a layout I would be very appreciative. I have some engineering and drafting courses under my belt so I can read any schematic / diagram within reason.
