Yup, doesn't even have to be that fancy.

Make sure that you have your AV (and such) protections as well as the space between your ears set 'high'. Public WiFi can be a risk.

Might consider using a mobile hotspot solution.
Thank you for the reply, I am travelling to a family friends however their guest bedroom is across the house from the router so ethernet was a no-go. Security shouldn't be much of a concern. I appreciate the help
