Hello everyone I’ve googled my problem but I couldn’t find a fix I’m not even sure it is a fixable thing.
So i have a P7P55D ASUS motherboard it had 2 2gb ram and i added one 4gb ram and it was working fine... but after a year I’ve noticed that pc is working slower than usual so i checked to see what was wrong and i found out it is detecting 4gb of ram... so now it doesn’t recognize the ram i put in black slots for some reason I’m not sure what is the problem. I found out that some of similar issues had something to do with bios, I’ve updated mine long time ago and I’m don’t know if the pc stopped detecting my rams after that or before that.

it see the 2 gig one as same jedec settings and voltages so you must run the 4 gig one at jedec 4 to meet the same cas and speed of the2 gig one try to use the 4 gig one in the first ram channel see the speed in run in mem tab and then put he 2 gig set in the second channel they might work if not you will have to get a new dual set of ram to use 8 gig on your board if you could go with this link for ram you could have faster one then you got https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P7P55D/HelpDesk_QVL/

does the board detect the 2GB when used alone?

Yes. If i put them alone on the blue slots it will detect them. But if i put them in black slots it acts like there is no ram installed.
The funny thing is if i put one ram in blue and one ram in black slot it doesn’t detect any of them. Seems like when black slot comes in, pc doesn’t try to detect anything.

2 set of ram not having same voltages and jedec settings so i would try to run the 2 gig in blue slot and che your motherboard user manual whwre to put in the 4 gig on also with this use cpu-z to find the jedec that match for both ram and voltages and you have to put them in manualy and apply but mix ram does not always work well .

I'm not sure that's the problem since the motherboard has the MemOK button. and the voltage is same in all of them. Plus I don't know how to do what you've said haha.
