The front USB/Audio connector that came with this PC when I bought it used came broken, so now I'm finally getting around to replacing it but it features no HD Audio header. Where do I plug it in?
Thank you @Nemesia I haven't logged on for a few days but I eventually figured it out when I took the motherboard out to change the standoff screws (the previous owner tossed this board in with a random assortment of different sized screws with different threads and heads -- some flathead and a couple of different sizes of Phillip-heads). I was changing the standoff screws out to a new nice matching set and I conveniently saw the HD_AUDIO header by one of the standoff points and plugged it in accordingly after a solid laughing-fit. But thanks for replying anyhow. 🆒
In my defense, I bought that PC used, and it didn't come with any paperwork -- but I should have checked online. But then again I've never seen a motherboard with the HD_AUDIO header anywhere other than the bottom of the MOBO either. I just assumed it didn't have one.
