Hello,
I have an MSI Pro Z690-A WiFi DDR4 motherboard and an Intel Core i7-12700K CPU. I am trying to download the correct drivers. I'm a simple man and just want to play video games and watch YouTube, streaming services, use Discord etc. -- nothing fancy. I will be installing Windows 11 x64.
I understand that I need the System & Chipset Drivers, On-Board VGA Drivers, and On-Board Audio Drivers. I am confused when it comes to the LAN Drivers, On-Board SATA ACHI/RAID Drivers, and Others Drivers.
For LAN Drivers:
Which Intel Network Drivers version would I need -- the one that has "support I225/I226 Chip," or the other one that doesn't have a description on it? Why or why not? I will be installing the Intel WiFi Driver and BlueTooth Driver.
For On-Board SATA ACHI/RAID Drivers:
I have no idea what any of that means. My only storage includes one 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD (for games) and one 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD (for Windows and everything else). I think the SATA ACHI one is for regular SSDs, which I don't have, so maybe I don't need that. I have no idea what RAID is. Do I even need any of these?
For Others Drivers:
I don't know what any of these are... are they just bloatware/optional? Specifically, what is the Intel Serial IO Drviers and Intel Management Engine Driver? Those look important. Not too keen on the Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology and Intel GNA Scoring Accelerator. Do I need any drivers from this category?
Is there any particular order I should go about installing the drivers (probably WiFi/Network first)? Should I first install all critical Windows 11 updates before installing drivers? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
