Almost ready to start building my new pc, my problem, motherboard came with cd but new case doest have room or ability to fit a cd rom drive, so, i actually have a cdrom in an older pc so my question is can i just connect the cd rom to my new motherboard from out side of the case just to install the drivers? And do i need to do this BEFORE installing a windows 10 OS? Thanks for any help

Look on the CD and see what driver versions it has.
Then look here and see if these are newer:
https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/B450M-GAMING-rev-10/support#support-dl-driver-audio
https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/B450M-GAMING-rev-10/support#support-dl-driver-chipset
https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/B450M-GAMING-rev-10/support#support-dl-driver-lan

Also,
What CPU do you have ?
If it a Ryzen 3000 CPU you might want to update to the newest BIOS if it doesn't already have it.
