Motherboard, dropping FPS.

I was enjoying a game then the FPS dropped from 60 to 35-45 to stay that way. It occasionally does this then randomly starts working full speed again. I am not sure whether it is the RAM, CPU, or GPU that it throttles.

well make sure your temperatures are within reasonable numbers, u can use some 3rd party tools to monitor it in game, lets say msi afterburner https://www.msi.com/blog/setting-up-osd-with-msi-afterburner
enable cpu/gpu usage, ram on cpu/gpu, clock on cpu/gpu, and temperatures on both

I know it isn't "reasonable" so to speak, I noticed that it sort of did this when the CPU temperature jumped up to 70 degrees. I would have paid more attention had this not happened before when the CPU was lower than that; that time for some reason the fan didn't kick in on the GPU which sent the temperature to around 85, so I exited out of the progran.

GPU was under 60 this time around.

RAM I am not sure about because I didn't have the temperature up just the usage.

well...if ure unsure in what u see...u can always make a video while playing and put it on youtube, so the others could see something from it (with that OSD from afterburner)
