Question Motherboard ethernet issues

Hello, so I've recently upgraded my motherboard from a Gigabyte b450m ds3h to the Asrock b450m Steel Legend everything works perfectly except for one thing. The ethernet keeps disconnecting and reconnecting for some random reason, the bios and ethernet drivers are all up to date but the problem persists any fixes? (side note - the ethernet worked perfectly with the old motherboard)

check cable? could just be a bad Ethernet jack. replace the motherboard
