So my computer suddenly failed to properly turn on, going through the BIOS to OS and what not. This all came as a shock to me, because I have yet to experience a boot issue with this PC before.
What was even more interesting to me were my findings in doing some troubleshooting of my own...
Specifically, I noticed that I was able to properly boot and everything when all but one component was connected to the mobo; however, when I would plug in the final missing component to the mobo (didn't matter if it was a RAM module, GPU, WiFi PCIE slot, etc.), it would again have issues with booting up to the BIOS and stuff.
My questions to you guys out there: have you 1) observed this situation before from your own experience or are familiar with the issue AND do you 2) know the main contributors linked with this issue and/or know a solution to fix the issue?
Just would like to see some feedback from you guys, before I put in a request for an RMA for the motherboard.
Just as an FYI, should it help, the motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-H87-D3H; my PSU is a Seasonic G-550; my GPU is a MSI Radeon R9 280; and my RAM (x2) are 4gb Kingston HyperX Blue modules.
Thanks!
