[SOLVED] Motherboard fan headers

Solution
I have only two case fan headers on motherboard.
But my case support 6 case fans.
Can I connect case fans through molex connector?
I think connecting case fans through molex run case fans at full speed.
Will it damage case fans because of running at full speed all time?
Depending on the fan it might be best to just buy a splitter cable and use the motherboard.

Just because you can put 6 fans in the case don't mean it will give you better cooling if you do.

It would help to know all the parts your using, including the fans.

You can hook up fans to molex without issue. It will just run the fans at its max rated speed. If anything it will just lower the fans life expectancy. Though by how much depends on the quality of the fan. Lot's of fans can tolerate operating at max speed for years.

Ideally you would hook up a cheap fan controller to molex and run several fans off it, which will give you control over the speeds independently. The good thing about that is, you can run mulitple 3 pin fans with PWM functionality.
