Hi just finished my new build only issue is that the fans that i plugged into mobo sys fan 1 and 3 slots (I have nothing in sys2) are not spinning.

These are stock in cooler master haf x and im using msi z87 g45 board. I would ideally like to set them to run at all times (not full power).

Any suggestions appreciated thanks, Dean

NB - cpu fan plugged into mobo is fine.

Solution
Your best solution here is NOT to plug them directly to the Mobo, but instead to a external 'switch' on the case that you can 1) enable / disable the fans 2) regulate how fast / slow they are running would be the simpliest solution. Often gamer rigs were advertised using one of the 5 1/4 Slots on the case for a panel display that would provide temps, turn on / off fans, set how many RPMS the fan was running, etc. Some got quite sophisticated, but that would be my first suggestion.
