Motherboard for 2500k

Hiya i need help find a motherboard that can support the 2500K

i already know what im getting apart from the motherboard the motherboard i had before suddenly went up in price for some reason so im looking for a new one from scan.co.uk if possible

i am thinking of sli/xfire in the future

Any socket 1155 board should be fine with it but if you want to SLI/Crossfire you will want a P67 or Z68 board with x8/x8 PCI-e slots. Z68 has more features and is often cheaper so i would go that way.

Not bad if it crossfires at x8/x8. bad if its x16/x4.

Is it different to state x16/x4 over x4/x4 even if the x16 slot operates at x4 in crossfire? If so, I apologize for the incorrect info.

Well x4/x4 would suggest that the primary slot operates in x4 as well as the secondary one whereas as far as i am aware, the primary slot will operate in x16 while the secondary one will be in x4. Basically, your primary card will be as normal but your secondary one will be somewhat crippled.

For the OP, Gigabyte's website states that with crossfire enabled the x16 slot will run at x4...so x4/x4.
